How does the usb pass through thing work? Does it allow you to connect a usb hub to the same port?
-
i used the 1 usb port for the mouse and the cooler, together. i connected the cooler first to my laptop's usb port and then plug in the mouse. worked awesomely !!! -
did you plug in the mouse to the cooler or the laptop?
-
i might have using the wrong terminology !!! -
I have that cooler. It's pretty good.
I plug in the mouse through the usb pass through connection powering the cooler. -
i have that cooler... i like it although recently the fans occasionally make a vibration noise... might be getting a bit old
-
Great cooler and very light. I carry mine around with me. I have to put my laptop on it at an angle though because the cooler's fans don't match up with the laptop's rubber feet.
flash drive or mouse==usb passthrough==laptop usb port (my usual setup)
Here is what the cooler's usb cable looks like:

The USB works fine and does not hurt USB operability. But the cooler itself I found to be 100% useless. If you want an antec cooler that actually does something take a look at this.

I got mine for $29 not $39, and having both cooler this on is MUCH better and actually cools my laptops. -

^im just gonna pick up which ever one goes on sale first, all i need is a fan and something that raises the notebook -
You can get either version now from Amazon with free shipping - both are priced under $29. Just so you know how low the price can go, I got mine on sale at Staples for $10 after instant + online rebate. I've also seen it on sale at Circuit City for $20.
