Well the forum is the same, you just posted in a different section and made a new thread. And if what you say is true on ur other thread, go with the bigger size if u want it to fit. If the small one doesn't fit, why bother looking at it?

The medium is a lot bigger that the laptop and the small is little bit smaller.

jor, the most important dimensions are the depth of the bag and the width of the bottom of the bag. I have a 15.4" and purchased a medium sized bag. The top width of the bag is around 18.75" and the bottom of the bag is only 14". It just barely fits my notebook. The small classic timbuk2 messenger bag only has a bottom width of 12". If your notebook is a 14.1" wide-screen thinkpad, then no it wont fit.

    Thanks for the reply.

I ordered a medium one from academicsuperstore for 25 shipped.

I didn't know there's such big difference between the top width and bottom width. I have the standard screen T61, which is 12.2" wide. I guess the small with be a tight fit...

do you like your timbuk2 sleeve? is it nice?

Oh sorry. When i initially replied to your post, i thought you were speaking about the messenger bag, not the sleeve. I have no experience at all with the sleeve. From the dimensions listed on the timbuk2 site, it looks like you made the correct purchase with the medium sized sleeve. Let me know how you like it when you receive it. I'm also in the market for a tighter fitting sleeve since i am no longer using the 9-cell on a daily basis.

    Hi,

First, I don't like zipper on a sleeve. I think they will scratch the laptop.

After certain amount of research, I narrowed down to three choices - waterfield, timbuk2, and case logic reversible.

The waterfield is nice, but with a flap, it cost about 60$.

The case logic one is a bit flimsy. I had one before, so I know what kind of material they use.

The timbuk2... not the greatest, not the prettiest, but it seems to be well designed and well made. I decided to give it a try. 25$ is less than a half of what the waterfield costs.

I don't know anything about the seller - academicsuperstore. I'll let you know when I receive the sleeve.

I asked this in the Lenovo area, but did any of you look at the Chrome sleeve for you t61? I like the flap design, and it is less than the waterfield.
