I have the backpack and it's "water-resistant" to some extent but it's not "water-proof". I usually have an external rain cover for my backpack to keep it dry in the rain.

The bag fairly protects the contents from getting wet. I bring my bag into a water park almost every day and my clothes stay dry even when some little ****** splashes me with water. The bottom may get soggy though, don't let it sit in a puddle.

And I usually don't bring my notebook to work.(the water park) just the bag to carry clothes in.

Yes I have one. Bought it when I worked at Best Buy for $35. It's an awesome bag. Very sturdy and keeps everything inside dry.
