    I have a ASUS G51 with 14.8W X 10.4D X 1.6H dimensions. Its a 15.6" but I think its a little bigger than other 15.6" laptops.

I am looking for a decent looking (by that i mean dark colored preferably black) backpack under $40 or if its really good at max $45. I'll be needing some space to carry books etc around in that. Any suggestions??

I was looking at Swissgear SYNERGY.. liked it alot but it is costing me $50+ everywhere I search.

Any model I should be looking out for to get cheaper in the upcoming Christmas Sale (Yes, I can wait till that time but no further) ??

I own Targus XL Notebook Backpack mostly becuase i used to own a G71, but it should fit fine a G51, but its huge, really a big backpack, but also fits close to your budget.

Take a look at the Targus Crave. It has some nice features such as water/stain resistance.

Word of advice, bigger is better.

I got the swissgear sahara for my 15.4" T500 and it doesn't fit in the actual pocket. It is slightly too wide so I use a sleeve as well as the back pack but it is still tight around the corners slightly.

Make sure you take into accound the dimensions of the laptop pocket if there is one.

yes i am therefore i am looking for a 16" laptop backpack instead.. have my eye on Targus ecosmart 16" tht (according to dell) seems to engulf an Inspiron or Studio 17 in it. Its available for $50 on DELL website only.

But I am really looking forward to get a good deal on Swissgear Synergy backpack unless someone here gimme a better option. :)
