    Hey there,

Ok....looking at your 3 choices this is the one I like the best:
Just seems more comfy, roomy, and stylish, and protective.

    The Velocity Matrix ;) :)

For your notebook, backpack or messenger bag....
You have to think: weight/size on your back. vs. Messenger bag w/strap on shoulders! I would rather have it on my back (more stability) vs. the strain of pulling at my shoulder (unless ergonomically constructed) ;)

Here is a thread you may want to visit: (very informative)

That is one, *well-built* laptop! :D  Maybe, other M17x owner's will also give their input, on a backpack for your notebook. ;)

    Hope this helps you!

cool, thanks I think the best thing would be to go for a backpack instead of a messenger bag :)

do you think getting a sleeve is a good idea?

I've checked that topic, but most of those sites are for US only :(

NP! :) I think a backpack also ;) Sleeves are always a good idea, depending on the person. And, for your notebook..I would think that because of it's size..you would want to find one that was slim/durable enough..yet accomodating for the b.pack you have chosen.

You really want to look at the *interior* of the backpack, and see how *well padded*, durable, and sturdy it is :) In other words: *Will the backpack be sufficient to protect your notebook* ;) :)

    Yes..I just noticed your location...sorry's. :(

Not bad, it's looks to be well padded, but still thin! It even has an optional shoulder strap (I don't like it when they just don't include them) ;)

Hey, if your sure that the dimensions will fit your AW M17x, then maybe you should order it. It's top loading and made of Neoprene (great durability, etc).

And, it looks nice! Targus is a great brand. So, if it doesn't work out you could always return it (looks like 30 days refund, 60 day exchange) ;) :)

    well on AW it says:
    # Height: 5.33cm
    # Width: 40.89cm
    # Depth: 29.21cm

    and for this sleeve
    Maximum Notebook Compartment Dimensions 43 x 33 x 5.5 cm

    so it should hehe

thanks again for your help :)

    Hey, I replied ;) :)

    Cin. ;) :D

Hi there, what kind of notebook do you have? The Slappa is nice, and so is the Targus XL...both have different exterior looks, and both seem to be roomy on the inside. The Slappa seems to more *protective*.

The Swissgear Pegasus is also a nice choice *(Swiss Gear makes great bags, also) ;) ...I think it comes down to what you want in the bag..As there some similarities in the ones mentioned above ;)

I would try and narrow it down 2 two choices...vs. 5, and that will also be an easier way to make the *choice*.

    I have the Toshiba X300

Official numbers on its size are:
    412 x 306 x 43.2 (front)/62.5 (back) mm

I am looking for a backpack which is very protective on my new laptop and has really good ergonomics and comfort :)
