Anyone know a good place to get replacement batteries in the UK?
The battery in my Inspiron 6400 is pretty much dead (About an hour with screen brightness right down and Wifi off). I don't really want to pay Dell £125 for a new 6-cell.

    Thanks.

I don't know if Dell has any authorized resellers for their batteries...
You can check out retail stores around your area, if they sell Dell computers they might sell individual batteries as well.
If you want a genuine Dell battery you might have to pay the £125 or a price close to that.
None OEM batteries will be fairly cheaper but you take risks.

Tiger Direct MIGHT have them, I'm not sure though. If not, then you could always try e-bay. ;)

I did end up buying one from Battery.co.uk/eBay. As far as I can tell it is genuine, the serial number works on the "dell battery recall" page and doesn't say it needs replaced (I also tried a serial number I made up, which wasn't recognised).
