Does anybody have any recommendations on what batteries to use for a bluetooth mouse?

I'm currently using 2 x AA Energizer disposables, but want to get rechargeables.

Two basic choices are between: rechargeable alkaline, and nimh.

What are the pro's and con's of each? Is there a particular brand that is better than the others?

You would probably was to go with NiMh since NiMh can be recharged many times (possibly 500 - 1000) before needing replacement. Rechargeable alkaline batteries will have a shorter cycle life than NiMH.

Regardless of what you pick, the batteries will likely outlast your mouse and laptop so I would not worry about the brand too much. In high drain devices where you can kill batteries in 15 minutes and need to recharge them 20+ times a month you start to notice the difference in cell quality. For recharging batteries every few weeks, just grab something cheap with a brand name on it.

grab yourself some Energizer Lithium ones. It's what i use in my mouse and they last for months! Well worth paying £6 every 6 months rather than a set of rechargeables that last for 5 mins after you have charged them a few times!!

Thanks. I picked up 8 Sanyo Eneloop low-discharge AA's for $17.99 @ The Source (Canada).
