I could never get use to the feel of the BT MS mouse. It felt so dinky in my hands and it would hurt if using for an extended period of time.

Yeah, got mine for $50 also.

    $50 aaaha :( That's too bad...But, you did get a good mouse..

Most BT Mice are small...Sorry it didn't work for you :( It's one of those things that work for the individual user ;) $50 for you, also? :(

    Cin ;) :)

yeap, $50 at Best Buys in Charlottesville, VA. :(

You are correct in things that work for certain individuals. Main reason why I purchased it because it was BT & small enough I could put in certain pockets of my backpack during traveling. It felt great while testing at the store, but guess I didn't factor in how my hands would feel after an extended time of use. Oh well, lesson learned. :D

I second your opinion as well. I paid $50 last January ('08) even though it had a $10 mail-in rebate that I had all set aside and ready to go, but then I misplaced the envelope.

I completely agree that the MS Laser Notebook Mouse 5000 is not good for prolonged use. An hour or two, sure it's fine - but anything more than 90 to over 2 hours it makes my hand cramp up due to its diminitive size.

Two weeks ago I ended up splurging on a usb Logitech VX Revolution; it's bigger than typical notebook mice and feels much better in your hand for prolonged use.

I think I'll still keep the MS mouse as it's been good, but it's size could grow a little bit.

Oh, battery life on the MS mouse sucks about 2.5 - 3 months maybe. The logitech uses just a single AA battery and it has an indicator that lets me know that I have four months remaining on a single battery. Wow. Pretty cool.
