ive seen many 'best mouse' threads in the past and ive mostly ignored them as ive been very satisfied with my logitech anywhere mouse.

however ive been having difficulty with it while playing the only shooter i play- mwo. i bought a generic gaming mouse but it isnt necessarily working out for me. because its difficult to use a claw grip with it.

so id like to ask you guys what your suggestions are, specifically for a claw grip. have medium sized hands and i prefer something that has at least 6 easy to access buttons (including the mouse wheel press). im good with either wired or wireless, but might prefer wired just because they are cheaper and running out of battery in game is a real pita.

I'm a claw and I've been surprised to learn that the two cheapest mice I've picked up to date does the job the best for me. The Cooler Master Spawn and Xornet. Unfortunately we are talking 5 actually accessible buttons though.

I originally picked up the Spawns and found I really liked it, then after my first batch wore out found they were discontinued in my market so bought the cheaper Xornets still available. Then I imported more Spawns from the US. They're optical and pretty accurate, don't suffer from some of the laser-typical tracking issues - but don't have a lot of bells and whistles in terms of controllability. The Xornet doesn't have any software at all and the Spawn is pretty bare bones: You can't adjust the dpi ranges at all (Xornet - fixed 500, 1000, 2000dpi stages, assignable 800, 1800, 3500 for the Spawn) for example. The Spawn does have software assignable buttons after a fashion, but not the Xornet.

Some people apparently use the shelf for the pinky to sit on, and that's not how I hold it (and I can't imagine it being as comfortable) - my hands aren't that small. For those people, I can see why they'd say why either mouse is too light since they wouldn't have as much benefit of wrist braking, but I'm really not sure you should be holding the mouse that way.

unfortunately im looking for something with more buttons. its almost a shame cause these mice are so cheap compared to the others out there. bookmarked nonetheless.

i like logitech products as their customer care is close to legendary. however im a little worried about those twin left and right buttons. they look awfully hard to reach.

You already said it but yea, you should definitely go wired. I can't tell you how many times I've had disastrous things happen due to my mouse dying. I'm also pretty unorganized so searching for double As can take minutes = forever in-game time
