Hi I recently bought a logitech v400 for my laptop and it is horrible in fps games. Its so unresponsive and not sensitive at all. I've finally got fed up with it and want to return it. What should i buy next? I want a wireless and would like it to be a notebook mouse if you know what I mean. I dont want a full desktop size one. It has to be good for gaming. Im not talking about those $100+ mice. I just want a wireless notebook mouse that works good for fps games. Thanks!

I went fullsize and picked up the Logitech mx1000 in a mouse \keyboard combo. This is sweet!

couldnt tell from the website, but the g7 uses the usb dongle like a notebook mouse? and are there any mice that perform well but are still notebook mice? they dont have to be amazing high performance just be sloid ad reliable. the v400 skips so much
    Thanks

Yes, it does use the dongle, but its charger is seperate from that, and is larger with a cord. You can just leave the charger home and keep the batteries charged up and you'll have plenty of time with both batteries.

The G7 is the best wireless mouse I've ever used. I doubted but once I got it I love it. It comes with two batteries so you can use one and leave one charging, or if you're going away you can just take both of them and the dongle and leave the charger at home.

It is very accurate ad reliable, the precision is amazing for a cordless mouse. The battery and DPI indicator is an added plus, and the on-the-fly DPI adjustment is pretty sweet. Best mouse I've ever used.

Microsofts new portable High Definition 3000 mouse is unbelieveable with gaming, and get this, its cheap, 30 bucks.

There you go, its sweet, great for gaming because it uses intellipoint and the laser is in High Definition, its a great buy, from a great company, for a great price. I just picked one up at staples for $29.99. I think most stores carry it because it has been Microsofts #1 Selling Mouse for a while and it has gotten great reviews. Hope this helps you out.

On a Scale of 1-10 overall I give it a 9, I would have kind of liked a on off switch on the bottom for what i use it for. You just pop the reciever into the bottom and it shuts off. It also dims to almost nothing when your idle for over 30 seconds, the comes instantly on without notice when you move it. Thats the only con imo. Things awsome otherwise.

edit: Oh yea size wise its not to large, its definatly not a full size mouse, but the middle/rear arches up quite a bit so its very comfortable to use, and it is not awkward feeling at all. Thanks, I Hope this helps.

I just got a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 3000 yesterday and it doesn't work for me since whenever the usb receiver is inserted in my dv5000 the screensaver won't come on. I'm wondering if other wireless mice have issues like this?

The only thing I like about Microsoft's mouse is that the click button a very quiet compare to Logitech and I think I'll pick one up sometimes this week.

I have the same problem, I have hp dv5020 and microsoft 3000 optical wireless mouse. Since I got it the screen saver woun't come on. The only solution is to disable the ehtray.exe service in startup items. Here's a microsoft link
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911895

What I did to solve this problem is to set the " Turn off monitor " in Power options to 10 minutes. The ehtray.exe programe is what shows the on display meter when you increase/decrease volume and when you hit Mute.
I like this mouse and I got it on sale from Office depot for $10. I've tried using it on my desktop for FPS games, but meh I didn't like it that much. But for laptop use, it's good. One other thing, while the wireless dongle is in a usb port, try lefting it a little bit and see if it's gonna reset itself, which I find annoying.

Ive played CS and Halo with the V200, and its really responsive and durable in gaming. Also most mice are picked up immedieatly by the notebook and dont need any software to operate on except if you want to use any special buttons.

well, i have the v400. In it's defense, i think it works pretty well. I tweaked things in the logitech utility and it feels pretty good. Given, i got it at discounted rates through logitech accomodations so i didn't pay 49.99 retail. I use it in BF2, and day to day tasks. I think i got my money out of it. For the very casual gamer and someone who is doing office tasks, it works very well. On the other hand, if you are a nitpicky gamer without a job to do office tasks, then it might not be the mouse for you... just kidding guys...
