I currently have the deathadder and the orochi, my problem with the deathadder that it's a bit too big for my hand, my thumb can't reach the front macro button on the side and that alone bugs me!
heck of a reliable mouse, until I bought the razer orochi, I liked the smaller mouse after that as I can reach to every single button my fingers can reach with ease! but the orochi now started to suffer of defected sensor makes the cursor moves itself sometimes!
now I don't mind to return to big gaming mouse! but this time anything with macro button my thumb can reach and doesn't cause my palm to sweat like the deathadder and he orochi! so no rubberized finish please unless it's something special!
thank you!

I find that the G700 works well when I use it for macros. I have pretty small hands and its no problem for me.

For $35-$40, check out the Logitech G400. Wired USB mouse, uses an optical imaging sensor. Generally light center-balanced mouse. Smooth plastic exterior.
For $50-$60, check out the Logitech G500. Wired USB mouse, uses a laser imaging sensor. Adjustable weight system allows you to tweak the weight and balance. Smooth plastic exterior.
For $70, check out the Logitech G700. Wireless mouse (rechargeable via USB), uses a laser imaging sensor. Generally heavy rear-balanced mouse. Textured hard plastic exterior.
Out of those three mice, I tend to like the G400 the best because an optical sensor tends to track more reliably on imperfect mousing surfaces than a lser imaging sensor does. The Logitech G700 is my least favorite, due to the heavy rear-balanced weight and balance of the mouse. But there are hundreds of people on these forums that would swear by the G700. -
You could also get a cyborg rat 7.. The size on the smallest setting should be good for you as per your description and it'll solve your thumb reach problem as you can change the position and angle of the thumb rest..
I keep at right at the back, this way all the thumb and macro buttons are within reach. To give you a better idea, with the thumb rest in the full back position i'd say the front thumb button is in the position where the rear button would be on regular mice..
The second horizontal scroll wheel near the thumb area is also very useful for macros..
Some people have said there skipping issues or something with the sensor. I really dont know how common they are but I don't ave any problems with mine..
You could also try something like the Logitech g300. I think it doesnt have any side buttons at all, all macro buttons are placed at the sides of right and left click.
Also, judging by your name, you like razer products so you could look into the naga hex perhaps. I really dont know about the tracking quality, etc but it does seem like the side button would be easy to reach. -
thanks gentlemen, picked up the G700 an hour ago! heck of a mouse! my thumb can reach to every macro button and the best thing about it the smoothie scroll wheel goes WEEEEEEEE!
anyway both the rat7 the naga are a no-no to me! they use the "twin-eye" sensor and I had enough with that sensor with the orochi! it was a lesson I've learned! -
The Orochi does not use the same sensor as the R.A.T. 7 or Naga.

Count me in for another G700. Once you set her up and game for a couple minutes, you will then understand where we are coming from. Everything about the G700 is superb.

Another vote for the G700.
best mouse for palm grip!
