My notebook mouse seem to die off every 4 months or so. My 2 previous mouse was the targus notebook mouse. the left click button seems to be the 1st to go. I barely use it to play games. This is the 2nd time this $20 mouse died on my. I think my ebay mouse I got for $5 lasted longer.

Anyone here have any recommendation? thanks Looking for something reliable, used for light games, mostly photshopping and web browsing. I don't think the wireless mouse would be as accurate and reliable for photoshop.

I have a Logitech travel mouse (don't know the name), and it's lasted perfectly for almost 2 years now. Logitech in general makes very durable equipment.

I've had my Logitech VX Nano for a very long time now. Battery life is amazing on it and it's very durable since I bring it all the time to school back n forth.

I also have a Logitech VX Nano but I don't like the click sound of this mouse. I don't recommend it.

I prefer the slightly less flat shape and also being slightly forgetful, I also like the stowaway receiver which also switches the mouse off that features on the Revolution VX, not the VX Nano. Either however would figure among the best notebook mice you can get, and the laser tracking is accurate.

The new Microsoft Arc is kinda nice though, haven't got it yet so can't say whether it is any good. I believe it's based on Microsoft's current-generation laser tracking, which I've generally found to be decent.

i also have a vx nano. got it for $51 shipped. its the most expensive mouse i bought, but i guess its the price i'm willing to pay for a comfortable interacting experience with the laptop.

features wise, the vx nano and vx revolution have the most..
i considered the microsoft bt 5000, but i didn't like that the bt mice fell asleep after a short period of idle and took a while to wake up. i prefer the instant response of rf wireless.

there is a mini review of the vx nano on this forum written by me somewhere

Checkout the Logitech V450, and I think they have a newer version now with a nano receiver. I have the older one with the small USB receiver that doesn't bother any of my other devices. It's a well-built mouse and never gets in the way of other wireless signals. You can also store the receiver under the mouse and automatically turn it off.

So far I've had it for more than half a year and the 2 AA Batteries inside have still not needed replacement. There are also LED's on the mouse signalling when the battery needs replacement.

I've used it for all sorts of tasks from mobile work to playing FPS games and so far haven't encountred any issues with it.

I like the Logitech VX mouse, but Logitech kinda killed it for making it unusable for left-handers. Do they even have a good mouse for left-handers? I feel discriminated against.

Ive had this mouse for like 3 years now. If i recall correctly its 1000dpi.

If you want reliability go with a wired mouse.

Good point. I'm ambidextrous, but it would be very nice in certain situations in notebook usage if the mouse was suited for either hand. Microsoft's Bluetooth Laser Mice are, but they're not actually made for on-the-go use. Another one is Apple's wireless Mighty Mouse which works fine with Windows machines... but it's an acquired taste, especially the bit about needing to actually take your finger off the left mouse button area before right-clicking. As I said these aren't actually touted for portable use, but both can be easily switched off however for extended bag storage, and both are fairly unobtrusive.

I'm gonna vote for the VX Nano.

I've had mine for about a year and have only replaced the batteries twice (I use my mouse 4-5hrs day). The thing is small and surprisingly comfortable, and the nano receiver is great.

I checked out the Microsoft Arc at an Officemax, and I do like the way it folds up for small storage and opens up. The size of it opened up is similar to a desktop mouse, so for people with larger hands that want more comfort that might be the way to go.
