Dell 9400 doesn't have a PCMCIA slot, which I believe the Audigy 2 ZS uses.

If you want a decent sound card for cheap, try the Turtle Beach audio advantage micro. Can be had for around 23 + shipping from newegg. If you want to stay with creative, the Audigy Blaster 2 NX is the top end USB one.

Unfortunatley, that card won't fit your laptop as brn80 stated. The Audigy card is for PCMCIA slots only, but the express cards are suppose to be the technology of the future - so Creative might be releasing a blaster card that would fit the express slots soon.
