    hey i'm going to become a freshman in college and i think i should buy a laptop lock just in case. so can anyone recommend me anything?

    i like the ones that dont have the adhesive things that you have to permantly stick to things. i want the locks that i can carry around. any suggestions will be helpful. thx.

    most of them have the adesive washers so you can custumise the lenght of the lock to the depth of the lock port on your laptop. (I hope you understand what I mean)

    The PC Guardian laptop lock is probably the best for the money. It has a real thick cable & strong lock. Most locks will have a loop on one end, not an adhesive. You wrap the cable around the leg of a table then through the loop to secure your laptop. Runner up to PC Guardian's locks I would recomend Targus' Defcon line.
