I want to get a controller for Elder Scroll. But I already have a Wireless Xbox 360 controller. Is that compatible? also how do I install it cause I figure there must be some type of hub or something to connect it to PC if compatible at all.

If you have a wireless controller, you need to get one of the wireless adapters to connect it to your PC, the play and charge cable is only power lines (which is rather weird really).

Or you could get a wired one.

I picked up a X-Box controller made for the PC. It was plug and play. Drivers downloaded instantly. $20 from Newegg.

+1. The Wired Controller are pretty cheap now to get one and they work great for games that support it on the PC out-of-the-box, especially for above casual-level Flight and Racing Sims.

I personally prefer wireless but the adapters and methods for making it work with PC is a hassle and not as reliable as straight wired.

Yep, I use a wired X360 controller. I prefer it just to cut down on the hassle of charging.

The plug and charge cables don't work. I've tried. You need the wireless adapter which is ridiculously expensive. It's like $20-30.

Plug & Charge does not work. That cable is only pinned for power not data.

That said I got a brand new official 360 controller + adapter for $35.00 just a couple of weeks ago (posted that deal here on NBR)

For those that missed out and just need the adapter I know 3 people that use this one without problems. Its a 3rd party one.

Be prepared to wait a couple of weeks for delivery though, anything from that site takes forever to get to you as it comes from China.
