    coolers for most laptops?

    As a general rule, is there a particulary good brand or brands of the cooler pad/fan assemblies you attach to the bottom of most laptops?
    BTW: I forgot what the things are called.
    Looks like a common problem for watching movies may be heating from what I have heard.

    They're usually just called "notebook coolers"

    I think Targus makes some good ones

    Actually Targus is notorius to have the worst notebook coolers. Zalman and Cooler master top the list followed by NZXT and Vantech

    i know zalman makes good cooler products but are notebook coolers actually effective?

    As mentioned, yes, but it heavily depends whether the cooler fits your notebook (ie. placements of fans). So there is no better cooler than other, its just what works best with your notebook. :)

    I would said it must have more than one fan, and good low noise fans, not too heavy and easily to transport, perhaps something you can fold.
