I'd like to scan some old family photos but don't know where to start. Can you give me some advice on the minimum dpi to use and some decent models for under £50/$100?

The Canon Lide 25 has been recommended by a friend but I don't know if it will do the job....

    Thanks

This guy is really smart, and who better to ask than a photographer? Read This.

I have the canon lide 90, and it does a good job on photo's. It's also USB powered, and got rid of some cable clutter. Cost I think was about 89 bux U.S.
