I've been trying to find where to purchase one of the newer digital pens that works without the special pad or paper. The one that works wirelessly (maybe with bluetooth). There's a clip you clip onto the plain paper you write on, and the writing is then stored in the clip, which is actually a flash drive that you hook up via USB to your computer, which is how the transfer is made. There's the possibility of saving as handwriting or converting to text. The clip is supposed to hold a lot...not just a page or so...like a novel's worth of handwriting/drawings. Can't find this anywhere.

If I can't get this (I think one brand was Digital Scribe or Epos), then can someone suggest the next best thing? I don't want to buy a tablet PC. I wonder too if all the other options require you to "write" directly to the notebook screen. What I envision using this for is taking notes during sessions with clients, where having a pc open in front of me would be distracting and possibly off-putting for my clients.

    Thanks.

Edit: It also needs to be able to work with Vista Business......

The Digital Scribe that is available right now has relatively poor reviews because it is wired to the computer and the cord is only about 2 feet long. To me, that would defeat the purpose of being separate from the computer during the notetaking session.

Does anyone know specifically if the wireless I-pen or the bluetooth I-pen requires you to be watching the screen while taking notes? From the sites I"ve viewed, it's difficult to tell.

Edit: Ooops....yes, apparently one does have to watch the screen because it doesn't actually have real ink. Sorry
