    does anyone have a hp dv7 and a Zalman nc2000? because i dont feel like ordering something from online and i can get the zalman at frys... but if it comes down to it and decide to buy online i would get cryo but for the ppl who play games on a hp dv7 and have a zalman nc2000 is it worth it? does it cool it down alot?

    Any good cooler (aluminium structure, decent fans) will cool down your laptop - and I believe Zalman is one of the recognized names.

    How "good" it'll cool will depend on many factors (by how many °C the temperature under load will drop) - e.g. vent holes on laptop, the laptop's case, air temperature...

    yea thats why i asked poeple that had or have a dv7 and used the zalman with it for reference and to ask for their opinions

    are you having heating problems with your dv7? do you game a lot?

    i simply have the back of my unit raised about half an inch to an inch - leaving enough room for the exhaust outlet in the left/rear of the unit to freely expend air.

    my system runs very cool. i game for maybe 30-45 minutes at a time (once a month, lol) and i have found that i didnt need a cooler.
