hello, im wondering if anyone has benchmarked 2 higher class (6 or 10, which are like 50-150 megabytes /s) on a card reader or adapter that can read 2 at once.
anyone got something like a raid configuration?
the cost effectiveness of a 2.5" sata to 6x microsd (ive seen 3x sd) with increased speed based on there being so many slots could be pretty astounding in theory.

Except that the flash cells used in SD and microSD cards aren't rated for extended read/write sequences and are prone to fail much more quickly. They're easily replaced as well, of course, but using them as a HDD replacement means they wear out very quickly and you'll need to have a very robust backup system in place to keep from losing data.

ahh good to know. still theres something to be said for a storage system that would work like that.
if you got a drive converter as soon as the next SD revisions are out, youd be set. they go up to a tb -
The new SD revision doesn't mean that the capacity will magically hit 1TB, either. It just means the spec supports it. Heck, MicroSDHC has supported 32GB sizes since it's inception, and Samsung only just released the first 32GB models.
If you want the performance of an SSD, buy an SSD. They're dropping in price now... Newegg is selling the 80GB Intel drive for $200 on today's 24 hour sale.
