I've lost my standard iPod earphones, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Here's my criteria:
<$15
the brand should be a recognisable one(i've heard about soundmagic pl11, but i cant find it in indonesia) so it will be easier to find
anyway, i'm also considering the samsung pleomax in-ear 830 or 850. are these good?
and does anyone know a good place to buy earphones in Jakarta, Indonesia? I'd like to choose myself if i can.
thanks

You could check out the Sennheiser's CX range. I've have used the CX300 and currently use the CX500 and both are excellent, would fully recommend both. Not sure the price for Indonesia though mate, sorry

i like my skullcandy earbuds, but i don't think you can get them in indonesia.

Quite frankly, you're not going find anything better than those crappy iPod buds for under $15.

Amazon had them on sale for $99.00, next day they went up but had a $50 rebate. My shipment was delayed so I asked they give me the rebate credit.
I got the credit, then I got the free magazine subscription thing with Amazon. You have the option to deny the subscription for a $10 credit.
They sound great, probably worth the full sale price of $99.00 but I would never pay close to MSRP for them.
I think the big sale was due to a change they made in the model. The old model has a removable/replacable cable. Now the new ones are hardwired. Apparently they had issues with the replaceable cable causing premature failure. I think I got the new ones, I dont see how my cable is removable. -
i'm currently tryin to wait and see if some more ppl will subscribe to ultimate ear's facebook page. they're at around 4000 right now, and if they hit 5000 subscribers/likes then they will release another $50 off code. another $50 off code would drop the ultimate ears 700's down to around $100. if they get to around $100 bucks, i'll probably be picking up a pair cuz of it's dual drivers and micro design. i wonder what other/better IEM's there are available at around $100-$150 picked up (not MSRP).
this is UE's facebook page. everyone with a facebook account, please go and subscribe/"like" ultimate ear's page and/or enter their free sweepstakes for a chance to win their Ultimate Ears 18 Pro Custom Earphones (almost $1400 value!) -

The deal with the Triple.Fi 10 Pros was actually on Logitech's site first, then Amazon matched it.
Even at $100, they were a steal - reduced from $300 and, even at that price, not grotesquely expensive when compared to the competition. -

Sorry, but that's an oxymoron. There's no such animal!

@ OP extend your budget $10 and you can get these.

Find like a $1.00 filler and you can get free shipping. -
I got my Sony MDR-EX300 for cheap €12. Works wonder so far.
cheers ... -
Using these, bought 3-4 years ago when it was 300+ dollars, price didn't drop much though because westone have price control. One of the best if not the best dual driver IEM out there, but yes, it's above your budget.
If I could get tri-fi for 100 bucks, I would buy all they can sell, and sell all of them at 80% MSRP price later.
For your budget though, I would just get the cheapest IEM I can find for that price, at that price level, earphones all sound the same anyways. -

Id bet my left pinky the guy selling 3 pairs of them in the for sale section of the forum did just that. -
