I found the same at a even cheaper price from the same seller but I took this one because it wont end before everyone gonna see it...
So tell me what you think about it...
I like the fact that the 2 upper fan are near the fan on the np5796 but im wondering... is this cooler maybee too small for a 17'' ?
-
Does look small - anyway its dimensions are 11.8" x 9.8" x 2", so I think it is a bit small for a 17" notebook. You could give it a try, its really cheap, and check out this thread as well.

Way too small for a 17 inch. My 14 inch goes over the edges of that thing. Also, it's very ineffective. I regretted purchasing it. Blue LEDs do look cool though. xD

piece of junk to be honest with you.
Those fans are by no means of any quality. They are probably $2 fans, and will be noisy and of little to no quality.
Plus those fans are tubeaxial fans, and they will cause lots of turbulence and noise off the botton of the laptop. This is because tubeaxial fans need at least 6" of air space on either side to be of any effectiveness. You need centrifugal bower type fans for this application, they work much better, and only require about 3" of air space on the bottom, and can lie flat on the laptop.
I made my own fan cooler out of 3 210mm ebm papst fans and it pushes well over 1000cfm of air, which would put any marketed laptop cooler to shame

Im interrest in your homemade product... can you tell me more about it ? I mean, its something really easy to do when you got the right materials.
I know people would recommand a NC200 but I really dont like the fact that the fans don't align with a M570TU and im not full of cash for the moment -
yeah I can give you more specs, but you will not build it, cause 99% of people cant justify the price.
Each fan costs me $230 and their are three of them.
The fans are designed to run from 16 - 28 volts, and they are powered by a 500 watt adjustable voltage power supply. The whole build was pretty expensive. I can justify the price cause the fans are manufactured in Germany and they are by far the most reliable and powerful fans you can buy.
Here is a link to the fan:
http://www.ebmpapst.us/allpdfs/6200NTD%2EPDF
they are made of the highest quality parts and come with a lifetime warranty by EBM Papst.
I made the metal base with which they fit in.
Here are images:
and the massive 500 watt powersupply:
I hope you like it, its really powerful, and it seconds as the air conditioner for my dorm room
I am currently building a desk for it, and it should be finished this weekend.
I run the fans at 9 volts, which still outputs roughly 350cfm, which is more than 10x as much as standard coolers. Each fan makes a nice lowly roar, and they sound amazing. Their is nothing like EBM Papst.

$...2...3...0...each?!?!?!?!?
HOLY ****
You could buy a brand new notebook with the money spent on the fans. And then some. I really hope you didnt actually buy the fans and got them some other way. -
I had them from another project, dont worry. Fans are my thing, and I spend ludicrous amounts for German precision instruments. They are absolutely amazing. If you could hear them, you would be able to tell teh difference between them and other fans. Their really is a difference, and if you want a fan which is quiet and makes a nice low frequency noise, than papst is the way to go. They make power off of the blade design rather than rpm, so you get the most air volume at the lowest noise. You may think 60db is a lot for the fans, but when they are running at a fraction of their speed they are really quiet.
I have loads of EBM papst fans, I have some which are over 30 years old which still run lke brand new. No $20 fan could do that

Woah... Those are monster fans...
Anyway, there's nothing on fire right now, I mean im still waiting for my notebook to come and when I will got it, I wont run to the closest store to buy a cooler in a urge... I will probably end up buying a Zalman NC2000 or something. But I don't like the fact the Zalman suck air from the bottom and would have wanted to use it on my bed without another base plate...
Anyway hum... Thread closed? I will talk in the respectives thread about the zallman or other cooler, i was just curious about your build which seems to kill every cooler in his way
ebay notebook cooler ? what you think
