So I have read some opinions about the new creative express card soundcard (forget what exactly they're calling it) and they haven't been that great. So for those of you that have it, is it any good and is it worth the price. also are there any other express card soundcards out there?

Don't waste your ExpressCard slot on a low bandwidth device like a sound card. There are many good USB sound cards out there. What's wrong with your onboard sound anyways? If you need 5.1 sound, consider the Sound Blaster Live! 24 bit USB. You won't be lugging your 5.1 speakers with you, so no need for an ExpressCard sound card.

The express card slot has the benefit of being more or less included in the bulk of the laptop. A USB interface is a little to much more unwieldy. And honestly, what's good about onboard sound? It's usually pretty trashy.

Sorry, I can't say anything about the Creative cards, I've been hoping desperately for an Echo express card.
