You have gotten it totally wrong.ASUS C90 uses MXM cards to get good performance. The ExpressCard only has a x1 PCI express interface opposed to the x16 and the performance hit is really great for a monster such as 8800.
If you want G80 or G81 on your laptop, you should wait for the MXM module to come out and buy one. However it seems that C90 is going to come with a G80/G81 MXM as soon as it comes out.
The MXM and using an external GPU for gaming is totally a different story.
And in the end : The Desktop version 8800 will going to use much more than 55watts.

I thought someone said that the C90 would probably not have the G80/81 since the imprint looked too small or something like that? DId i misunderstand somewhere

Supposedly the Asus C90 will be released with the Nvidia 8600 and then later on with the Nvidia 8800 with GDDR2 memory. They will supposedly use GDDR2 because GDDR3 would run too hot.

No idea cause they've never released something like that before.

Considering the specs, and based on their current pricing, it could range from $800-$1000 for the barebone alone, as the C90 is a barebone unit. Then factoring the CPU, ram, HD, wireless card, etc. a bit under $2000 should be reasonable. However, this is all based on assumptions.
