I'm looking for a "real/multi driver" 5.1/7.1 headset to replace my aging MK II headset with. Any recommendations?

Creative hs-1100 arena surround. It is cheaper than my Razer Megalodon, sounds as good and more comfortable.

I use hs-1100 on my laptop and Megalodon on my desktop.

I really must urge you to stick with stereo. It is pretty much universally better to have one really good driver in each earcup than two smaller weaker drivers. Surround sound in headphones is a total gimmick, and any decent stereo headset will give you all the positional audio you need.
