Hey guys I'm thinking of giving my computer to my brother, and he'll be buying a new HDD so I will keep my old one with all the data... I was thinking I could use a disk enclosure to use it as an external harddrive. Does anyone know any good disk enclosure I could use?
thanks

2.5" notebook hard drive I'm assuming?

desktop standard actually (3.5" i think?), since I'll be using it for my notebook because I can't physically put it in. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

I got an I/O magic enclosure from compUSA for $20. Oh wait, CompUSA doesn't exist and more. Maybe you can find it on Newegg.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817193030 if it is a SATA drive. No screws needed, and 4-5mb/sec faster than my old Galaxy enclosure.
I believe there is a similar IDE version, but I haven't had an IDE drive in years, so I wouldn't know. -

I bought this one 6 months ago http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817145167 and I really like it. It was really easy to install/use and I haven't had a problem yet. Also it looks really nice, not cheap and tacky looking, if that is important to you
Edit: I have the 2.5" version and it works perfect with the included usb cable, you might want to read some reviews and make sure this one does also since a 3.5" 7200rpm could use more power than mine. -
It is SATA driver. This looks like a good deal.
I can't seem to find the transfer rates.
good quality disk enclosure?
