Hey I have a mbp 13, and given that I will keep using the format (13'' notebook I hope I keep it at 16:10 as well), Im thinking of buying a hardcase for it, so that I can carry it safely in my bag and luggage
So any ideas on good ones?

For all of my Macs I usually just get a Speck.

hummm... well I was thinking more in line of a sleeve kind of case, just a hard shelled one.

Crumpler Hard Suit maybe?

something like that but harder, maybe something made of metal or carbon fiber

Pelican do hard cases but they're bulky since they're actually intended to protect - they're almost like mini briefcases.
There's also Mach 3 Composites of the Sony Z case fame. They do MBP13 cases. Carbon Fiber Case for iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air | Mach 3 Composites
There's the Thule sleeve. Thule 13" Sleeve for MacBook or MacBook Pro - Apple Store for Business (U.S.)
Basically there are many. I don't like using them though - just adds bulk while being overblown for regular portage in an already protected laptop compartment. Granted - for most of the Apple notebook range (bar the 13 Pro) and some other makers you may actually need this level of protection for the bendy or delicate machines not to suffer damage in regular transit, but still. -
