so currently i have the bose GS series II and while the quality of the sound is great, i cant really crank it very loud for partys...

i was wondering if someone had any suggestions on what i could get to boost the sound (and bass)...also, what would be the best way to set up the speakers so that i get double the volume. The splitter i use now (monster i think) halves the sound out of both speakers.

here is the link to what i already have:
Bose CineMate GS Series II Home Theater Speaker System - Bose 2.1-channel Home Theater Speaker Systems

and i wouldnt mind spending 500$ for a louder system with a TON of bass, which i could use as a supplement.

Putting extra power to those would probably blow it.

I have never heard them personally, but lots of people say the logitech z5500's are loud.

It is a 5.1 setup, which might be overkill for you.

I have the Logitech Z-2300, and they will definitely not disappoint if you want tons of volume and bass. They've done an excellent job of playing over the noise at parties and rumbling the walls with bass when I need them to.

Ah, you're looking to use two sets at once? I'm not sure that a simple splitter will be able to do that without some volume attenuation; you may want to look into an amplifier of some sort. I'll leave those suggestions to the higher-end audio nerds.

Any idea of what I can use to sync speaker systems like these?

Imo, the only way to get good sound at loud volumes is with a separate receiver/amplifier, a good set of midrange bookshelves or towers, and a separate powered subwoofer.

and what if i bought x2 z5500 logitech sets, could i set that up so i could have them both playing at like 75% ?

(meaning the two together would be 150% of a regular set)

But why do you want to do this? Do you really want to give yourself a brain hemorrhage, lol? Oh BTW, Twice the amount of speaker =/= twice the volume.

I'm going to side with the other guy and recommend that you get yourself a really good set up, with a high quality preamp, amp, and some nice floorstanding speakers or quality bookshelves. They come at a price, but they are far better quality than your standard PC speakers. And will most likely go louder, too, if that's what you really want.

My JBL HLS615's sound leagues better than my Z-2300's, even when they are paired with a cheap receiver (Onkyo TX-8211).

i know this from trying other speakers with splitters, and im wondering if there isnt a way to allow both speakers to play at max volume, like a special splitter or something else?
