    hi,

I'm still looking for the right sleeve to carry my new HP nx8220.

I'm leaning towards gettign the a viper from booq. In the last cople of days i've seen a sleeve called Shaun Jackson Designs Inc Laptrap . Was wondering if anyone had any experience with latter one. I basically need a good protective slleve that I can throw in my own regualr backpack. I know the viper is a good choice, but the option of working directly pout of the sleeve has me wondering if i should go with the laptrap. Any info from you guys would be really appreciated. Thanks in advace.

I'm getting an SFBags Waterfield Sleevcase for my HP NX8220.

    http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleevecases/sleevecases.htm

Like you, I'm also going to be putting my sleeve inside another bag; I use a messenger bag, so the design of the Sleevecase makes it easy to take the laptop out without having to take the entire sleeve out of my bag. From what you've said about working on your laptop directly out of the sleeve, I'm guessing we're looking for different sleeves.

What I like about the Sleevecase is its versatility; granted the extra options tally up to quite a bit of money, they're all very practical and well designed. Also, they make the sleeve in many of sizes designed for specific laptops, and they have one for the NX8220 (NC8230). Read a few of the testimonials and reviews to see how highly acclaimed this product is. I'm going to get the should strap add-on for when I only want to carry my laptop around and not my entire messenger bag.

I liked being able to work right out of the bag on my laptop. So you can look at a simliar product that allows you to do this and perhaps get a better feel if its right for you:

no problem, glad to help. I do like the bag very much, however my intentions were just to point you to my experience with that style bag and my thought on it. I don't know which bag is better or worse, just that with similar functionality you could at least see what usefullness I got from the bag.

Hope you find the bag that will work best for you.

    switcher_001,

Have you received your Sleevecase yet? I would greatly appreciate your feedback on it as I'm about to pull the trigger on the purchase for my 8220 as well. I'm just wondering how the fit and finish is on the product. Also, if you live in Canada, how smooth was the transaction (i.e. any problems with shipping, customs, duty, brokerage fees, etc.)? I hope that you can echo some of the rave reviews about the Sleevecase...
