    hi everyone,
i just bought an hp pavilion dv6-6199ee which has a core i7 and a radeon graphics card.

i monitored the cpu and gpu temratures when playing games like the new duke nukem (it sucks btw) on high video settings, and it got up to 90C=194.0F, but the laptop stayed cool in general, and i was concerned about breaking the laptop (because i play lots of games) so i thought of getting a laptop cooler.

ive been doing some research about it and i dont really know which one to get.
i found some good reviews on the zalman nc-1000 and the zalman nc-2000.
i also liked the cooler master notepal u2 cuz u can change where the fan is place but not really sure about its quality.
    any other suggestions are welcomed

note: i live in the uk, so not all the cooler that are available in the US are available here.

    thank you for reading

I have the notepal U2 and honestly, it changes almost nothing, about 2 or 3 degres Without the fans (notebook on the cooler powered off) I got 2 degres as well. I suspect the fans to be too weak. I might try a mod to replace them when I have the time.
But at least the quality is good, it feels solid. I have had it for about 2 month now.

yeah, the 80mm fans on the coolermasters provide very little cfm. The notepal u2/u3 with 120mm fans would be a beast.

I also have the U2, and the fans definitely aren't super-strong. I mostly just use it to elevate the PC off my lap. Haven't tried comparing temps with and without.

I doubt you'll be blown away (hurrhurr) by anything USB powered.

do u think its a good idea?
and if u have a better cooler suggestion after looking at where the vents are placed please tell me.

Again, anything USB powered probably isn't going to move enough air to make a real difference.

yes i think it would be better to ge a mains powered cooler, as im not really going to need to carry the cooler with me everywhere i go so its not a problem.
Do u know any good ones for my laptop, i think it has the same chassis as yours and also many specs are the same

I have an NZXT Cryo LX on my desk. It moves a lot of air.
