ok well i know nothing about notebook coolers. i dont want to order it, and woouldnt even mind buying from bestbuy or tiger direct.

i live in canada and have found a few.

i have a toshiba qosmio x300, purchased from bestbuy.

i found a few on tigerdirect

    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicati...e=1&keywords=notebook cooler&sort=Weight desc

i really like this one as i can pick it up from tiger without having to order it. its also on sale for i think 24.99$ http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1828903&CatId=3486

so any advice would be great, the cheaper the better, but i want the best bang for the buck.

    thanks in advance

ps; its a 17" with 2 fans on the bottom, sort of in the middle back, so does the placement on the cooler matter? im also going to put in a 2.53 ghz processor, so it will get warmer, but it will still support it.

i also found this one http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10107790&catid=20183#

you want the best bang for the buck, well make it yourself. You can make the base out of some perforated steel or plexiglass, and than use a hole saw to cut holes for the fans. It is very simple to do.

Or you can buy one if you are not handy.
I personally recommend getting some papst cooling fans, but that will break the budget cause three fans can cost more than a laptop ;)

ok alright, thanks guys, and that review is great.i like a couple of them, but seems like it will be hard to get unless i order it. th fans are in a very weird place, so maybe building one will be a good idea.

thanks and rep+ for the guide

I like the CoolerMaster Infinite Notepal. I have one, and it cools my Toshiba well. Very quiet. I want to buy another one.

Only available through Expansys.com so far, though.
