I just got my avermedia Avertv hybrid nano express tuner working on my laptop. I'm very unhappy with the video quality. I called avermedia and they said the device is limited to 480 resolution on the s video input for copyright reasons. I am using a high def directtv reciver for the tv source. I want use my laptop as a dvr and then out to my high def lcd flat screen. is there a tv tuner or video capture device i can buy that will have a high def in such as rgb or hdmi?
