well. i need a new mouse. for both my desktop now, and my laptop later on (end of month or so ill buy the lappy). it will be mainly for my laptop though.

ill tell you what i plan on doing with it. it will be gaming mainly, though some internet surfing. i will be taking my laptop EVERYWHERE, school every day, and i have a hour commute, where ill be gaming :D. bus and car. and also room to room/ outside with it.

i have my eye on 2 mouses right now.
VX revolution and Razer deathadder. my main fear about the vx is that it will be uncomfortable, i have largish hands. and the thing about the deathadder is it is wired, so i might have some problems on the bus and car. what do you guys think?

If you are going to decide on a wired mouse I highly suggest the Logitech G5. I have one and love every minute of it. :D

If you are looking for a wireless though I would check out some bluetooth ones if your comps have bluetooth (then you wouldn't need a usb receiver connected all the time)...

As for how the two you have said, I don't really like the deathadder feel, but I think that the VX would be just fine if you have large hands...My question is: have you felt either of them in person??

    Hope this helps! :D

I personally have the Logitech G5 which I use for both my desktop and laptop. It's a full size mouse with great precision for games and has two buttons to adjust the DPI on the fly. It's wired so no need to mess with batteries. And it has a horizontal scroll wheel as well as two thumb buttons (back and forward) which is good for web browsing.

I have both the VX revolution and the Deathadder. I've had the Deathadder for about 9 months and the VX for just a week.

I like the Deathadder a lot - size is very comfortable and adjustable sensitivity is great. It's a great gaming mouse and pretty tough. I dropped it off a table onto a hardwood floor and it had no problems. The cord is pretty long (over 6 ft) - which could get annoying with a laptop. It has less buttons than many mice - 2 on 1 side and 3 on top (1 is the scroll-wheel). Driver allows a lot of customization (all the buttons, sensitivity, polling rate, even separate x- and y-axis sensitivity).

I haven't had the VX very long but it's pretty comfortable (pretty big for a notebook mouse). It's a little shorter than the Deathadder (~ 1 in), very slightly thinner in width but it's height is about the same. I use my mouse with a wrist rest so height was most important for me - it's fine for me. It has a few more controls than the Deathadder - 2 side, zoom slider, search button, scroll-wheel (which is a button and also has side-to-side scrolling) and left/right top buttons. Haven't played with it's driver yet but that con customize many of the controls. Wireless feature is pretty nice with a decent range. My only complaint is the sensitivity - it's only 800 dpi but that's because I'm used the Deathadder. I like it so far but I haven't had it very long. I basically leave the Deathadder at home for games and carry the VX when I travel.

The VX is pretty easy to find - I'd go to a store to see how it feels in your hands.

I have had the Logitech VX Revolution for a year now and it is a great mouse. It fits perfectly in my hand and the small USB receiver stows away inside the mouse. It also has some useful buttons like zoom, forward and back, and even a search button. The mouse also has an LED battery life meter and, most importantly, a scroll wheel that can be set to have standard friction or a frictionless mode to quickly get through long PDF files and such. It is very convenient to toss into your laptop bag and it is great for gaming (at least for me).

I bought my Deathadder about a week ago and it's great! As far as the cord, it doesn't seem too much longer than other mice. For me, I just leave it twisty-tied with enough slack for me to move it around without pulling the cord tight.

It's a great mouse with awesome accuracy and great for gaming. Also the most comfortable feel I've ever seen on a mouse.

You're going to love it. The VX Revolution is a great mouse. Have been using it for a few weeks and it is very comfortable.
