    how do you check the temperature of your external harddisk?

    i have this external harddisk which has temperature sensor (i'm sure cuz i've checked it on my desktop)
    but now i've put this harddisk with my laptop as an external harddisk and i don't know how to check its temp now
    i've tried using active smart, which only detects the harddisk in my laptop
    now the external harddisk is getting hotter and i'm a bit worried :eek:verheat:
