    how to disable touchpad

    very noob question but here goes :)
    I have acer aspire 5315 with vista and would like to disable mousepad ( touch pad?) because i keep typing nonsense. I have normal mouse connected.

    It should have a synaptics control panel, where you set it to off when a mouse is connected and on if not.

    control panel, mouse

    look around in there and in the advanced/more stuff and see if there is a box to 'disable touchpad when external mouse is in use' or something related.

    Thank you , I was to embarrassed to ask how to do that :p but finally found that FN was Fn as in one key. :)
