    i recently bought a 2.5 passport hard drive and formatted it to ntfs becuase fat32 on it you cant put more then 4gigs and then i put files on it and so on
    how do i put a password on it so every time i plug it in it asks for a password on it to see the files ...

    AFAIK, you cannot do it in hardware. You'll need TrueCrypt to software-encode the drive.
