I have a samsung hdtv, which also has integrated speakers.
    i also have logitech z4.

i want to use the TV in the front of the room, and speakers in the back of the room, to create some kind of surround sound system for my room. is this possible?

it's a big room, so i would like to make this possible wirelessly. but this is not necessary. thanks!!

Not with those Logitach speakers. For one, they're 2.1 not surround sound. You'll need at least 5.1 for that. And if you have a big room, you'll also need much more of a substantial system to realized the best surround sound experience.

First determine your budget, then you can get a better suggestion as to how to set up your system to make the most of what you have.

For the record, my medium level system cost $4,500. But I bought it piecemeal in over a years time. For the best surround sound (or any sound for that matter) start with the best speakers system you can afford.

^Yep. I started with a reciever, then speakers. But either way, those Z4's just aren't going to cut it. I can only imagine that poor woofer... :( Big rooms are torture on a small woofer.

I also built my system over time. This is why I like to go with individual pieces rather than any "all in one" system.

Mine is not worth nearly $4500 though. More like $2000 but it sounds great and its just for my bedroom. I know it would be more for a big room like the living room where I would want floor speakers instead of bookshelfs and a bigger or even dual subs instead of a 10"

Id also probably have some LFE kits on the furniture :D

Pages can be written on subs (frequencies/watts/placement etc.) alone. But never let anyone convince you you need more than one. And like any speaker, there is a great range in price, quality, and sizes available. Neither of which can solely be relied upon to determine how well it will perform in the end.
