I recently got a dv9035nr at Best Buy and it came with the small remote control and a normal sized remote for use with the TV Tuner. The small remote fits in the expansion card slot on the right side.

Great feature! Love how it stores out of the way, it's small but works from quite a distance away.

I use it all of the time when listening to music on WMP! Very clever design... also works when watching movies.

does anyone know if you can use this remote with anything besides WMP and Powerpoint? Also, can you assign the buttons to different functions.

You cannot (to the best of my knowledge) assign the buttons, but I have used it to watch videos... you can control pause/play, fast forward, rewind, etc.

Just depends on if the program utilizes your laptop/computers media buttons.

I tried VLC and DivX, and only the volume worked on those. Anyone else know of a video player which works with the remote?
