External HDD? you could get some good games too. I'd opt for multiple older titles rather than one brand new one.

Why not save it? Maybe save it up for something even better...?

Just double.. or triple your limit and get some nice headphones. I know I use my headphones more than anything else laptop related. I base what laptops I'm willing to buy off which ones can hook up to my soundcard(firewire).

i know some good headphones from creative, but do you have any other brands i should check out, or any personal favorites.
thanks in advance -

Yeah, sennheisers are nice. I haven't personally tried the HD-555's but I've used other models from them. I personally use the Ultrasone HFI-780's but they're around 185USD. If you've soldered things before then you can easily switch the 1/4" adapter to a 3.5mm which is alot easier to use in a portable situation. And as far as Best Buy is concerned, I've never seen a reasonably priced set in there.

i just ordered my headphones, i should get them on wednesday
-
so you know, the 555's come with the 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter.
good choice, but why go for the 555's when you posted you wanted cans in the 350 range? -
i change my mind, i realized i didn't need that expensive of a headphone, another reason i need money for a lot of more important things than headphones
i have got 60 bucks to spend
