Has anyone tried the iGo adapter for the W3J+? I used their configurator online and it came back with a 70 Watts continuous use adapter, which I think is incorrect for the W3J+ since the oem adapter is 90 Watts. I'm considering their 90 and 130 Watts adapter, but am a little worried the 130 Watts could fry the laptop though iGo claims only the necessary amount of power will be transferred.

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

Why can't you use the AC Adapter that comes with the notebook?

130 watts is not FORCED into your laptop with those bricks. It just means that it will supply up to 130 watts when charging if that much power is used by the laptop.

Aryding, this is where my laziness comes into play. :D I'm going to get a spare ac adapter so I can have one at home and one at work. The iGo will be kept in my laptop case so when I travel I don't have to pack up the oem ac adapter. Another reason is the iGo sells the tips for my cellphone and bluetooth head set, so I won't need to carry those additional ac adapters with me. It will also allow me to charge my cellphone while my laptop is plugged in through another adapter.

Pitabred, thanks for clarifying that up. I'll go with the 130 Watts since I could be using it for more than 1 device at the same time. As long as its not forced, then I'm safe. :D

If the adapter is not protected you might want to get a surge protecter (I'm sure your using one at work) so in case of a power surge it doesn't push 130 watts through your computer. It's possible but the chances this will happen are slim.
