My wireless mouse gets all messed up while my iPod Touch is too close to it... it gets really annoying. Sure enough, though, I disabled wireless on the iPod, and it works perfect. However, it gets really bad if I want to listen to a YouTube video on the iPod, while working on my computer.I wonder... will the mouse be affected by a wireless internet signal? Not just from this iPod, which I know is true, but from a laptop's internal wireless card?

I see interference between the WiFi LAN connection and my wireless mouse. It is only a problem when stressing the connection (copy a large file). The reason for this is that the WiFi LAN and mouse are using 2.4GHz radio frequency. You could change the channel the LAN uses (see the router properties) and this might solve the interference with the mouse.

What is interesting is that with the WiFi off, it still interferes, albeit a huge difference on how close it has to be.

It is on 2462 MHz, the router. Should I try something else? Say, 2422 MHz?

Yes, change the WiFi "channel" that it uses (and therefore, the frequency).

WiFi supports multiple channels / frequencies specifically to give some flexibility for different environments that have different levels of interference.

Just kidding. It is horribly annoying, started up again. It is even occurring if it is on, playing music. Does not even have to be streaming.
