I don't have the Ibasso D10, nor have I used it. But I do have two Echo AudioFire2's. I am very impressed with them and haven't used anything better for the price(I got one for 100$ and the other for 115$ both used).

I will say the biggest problem with the Echo is that its Firewire, so unless you have a firewire card, then you'll have to use a wall wart, which makes it less portable. But even if you don't you can use the 4 port firewire(on most all notebooks, but not on any of the netbooks) and the wall wart.

I use the line outs hooked up to my Cambridge Audio Azur 640, which powers some Wharfedale Evo2-10's and a Sunfire Jr subwoofer and wow, just sounds amazing. Or I can keep all that turned off and plug my headphones into it and enjoy them that way. I have also recorded a few times with the line in, but not enough to really give it any sort of a review.

But for the price, I think the Echo is very hard to beat, I would easily pay 200$ for it now that I know how nice it sounds.

Its an integrated amp. Its to power my speakers, as they are not self powered. Its 75 watt per channel. Yeah, don't need to be pro to have pro gear(like the AF2). ;)

I like my iBasso D3 Python. I also have a Decware Zenhead (no DAC).

If you want sound (pun intended) advice visit Head-fi.org's amp/dac forum section if you haven't already.
