Ok who owns or has owned one? Im in need of something I can use with its versatility and Im finally in the position to buy one....hopefully.

    My question are:

How much space is leftover when using a 15in laptop?
How well does it work in bed like the picture?
    Is it actually durable?
    How portable is it?

    Thanks yall!

I was gonna get one of these before but bought the laptop laidback instead, read some reviews/comments about how there's no support when the product fails as well as the clips locking the joints are made of plastic and breaks easily no matter how careful you are.

Th laptop laidback is a simpler design, sturdy and holds my 17inch pretty well although with added velcro for support

The pug version looks more durable compared to the x4 as well

I did watch a video for the lapop laid back. The main reason for the lapdawg was the ability to use the laptop being fully laid down in bed. How does your stand work like that?

Ill look at some of the clones of the x4 and check out some reviews.

How can it be used while fully laying down? Wouldn't the laptop be at like 90° if not past that?

Yeah but her head is elevated. If you were completely flat on the bed, the angle would need to be close to 90°

it also works flat on your back, however the downside is its only on a single position

unlike the lapdawg where you can switch to a sitting position and angle it in a different way.

i still check from time to time if there is a similar product like the lapdawg with metal clips to support the legs, it would be perfect if there is.

That looks like a better "on your back" operation as her elbows look rested on the bed. Now my question is how well does it work on say a couch as a tray for the laptop?

it works pretty much as good on the couch as well, but I couldn't rest my elbows the same way (maybe because of beer belly lol).

here's a youtube vid of their product
Laptop Laidback - Laptop Table - YouTube

I liked the simpler design, does what it says it does and could vouch for the build quality (although extra velcros for my laptop to help it stay attached to the thing is needed).

the lapdawg is way way more configurable but I'm too scared it might break a joint and the whole contraption including my laptop falls on the side of the bed lol.

How much room is left after te laptop is on it? enough room for a mouse? I only have a 15.6in laptop but its not a big deal. Also are the velcros needed to use this?

mouse ends up on the bed, my 17 inch pretty much covers the whole area for a 15 incher I'm guessing you can't do much else with the 1-2 inches left lol.

The velcro isn't required but there are days I leave my laptop on it so I added 2 strips to make sure it sticks on it since the laptop always stays almost on a 90 degree angle and actually just resting on the 2 pieces of moveable plastic below.
