The zalman is a nice one and probably better design and built. It should fit the A8Jp nicely. I currently have a zalman on the way for my MX-A8Js.

I prefer the spire pacific breeze myself. Use it with a 17" Toshiba and it keeps it on average about 10 degrees cooler :D

I might get a targus chill mat because its at a local store and i prefer to buy one at a store. But i was wondering what is the main point of buying a notebook cooler? I have the same model, A8jP, and i realize it does get hot a lot after playing hours of CSS. If i dont get a notebook cooler, is it bad for the laptop?

Not exactly, it's just that parts wear out quicker when they are exposes to a lot of heat......I can tell you that you won't notice a whole lot of difference with the targus....at least from personal experiece....I can tell you that other that keeping my laptop at normal temps when I place it on my bed or similar surfaces that there is only a slight temp drop....2-3 degrees on average.....sometimes less....and on one occasion the temps actually increased.....the only reason I bought it was because I was in a bind and couldn't wait for another cooler to be shipped.

I use the Targus chill mat for my A8JP and my Compaq.

It fits the A8JP nicely and keeps it cool - even the exhaust area on the A8JP doesn't get too warm.

The Targus is plastic, so it's lightweight, but well built. It's held up very well in the 3 months I've been using it. It's also very quiet. I'd recommend it for the A8JP.

i personally love my vantec lapcool 2 from newegg. It's fans are positioned so that they blow air up onto the bottom of the laptop, which works perfectly with mine since the exhaust fan sucks air from the bottom of the laptop.
