Have you check with your LCD part number on eBay to see what they have there to compare to site you posted??? I would do that first before buying from that site to know what your buying is what your buying....

Typically legit retailers don't hide their contact information on their domain registration. Also it's only been around since 12-Apr-2013

Very fishy to me. Anyway, here's the WHOIS lookup if you're curious. They're hiding their contact information behind other websites and services, which should raise a redflag the size of Texas:

    Whois lcdscreenforlaptops.com

Hmmm thanks for the tips guys. I think I'm just going to buy what I need from eBay. I rather not deal with unnecessary risks and headaches.

Hi I just registered for this forum so that I could post regarding this website. I did not do any research regarding this site before placing my order for a new laptop screen for an ACER Aspire 7741z-4485. I only became concerned once I saw that my order number was #100000548. The really low number scared the hell out of me and so I decided to do some research. I will definitely keep everyone update as to how everything goes because I simply can't find anything meaningful about this company anywhere and I am hoping that once everything is said and done that maybe this post can either instill some trust or stop someone from wasting some time and money on these guys. Thank you to all who read this and I hope that I can help some people in the future about these guys.

BE WARNED - I was attracted by the "too good to be true" price on this "lcdscreenforlaptops.com" site, and did some researches. Here are the findings:
    1. The "real time availability" is just a data copy from CompSource
    2. The price on each product looks like to be the price on CompSource times 75%
    3. Product title seems to be a copy from Provantage (?)
Looks very very like a scam to me...

yes its a scam site. try to go to it, The site is no longer in existance. our company was assured when we bought from them that they are legit and the product was on the way.It is no where to be found! hard to believe, yet its definitely looking like a scam fly by night site. luckily our company is disputing the charges and filing a complaint. Its hosted by Launchpad which in my book is harvesting for spots without checking legitimacy.

I ordered a wireless router from them last week. This morning I get the email below. Needless to say, I filed a claim to reverse charges.

Even the bank says they haven't seen anything like this before.

They don't answer any emails or phone calls

Actually, I received the same notice on the same day, so it may be valid. Also, lcdscreensforlaptops refunded my money for unshipped merchandise prvious to the notice and did respond once to a voicemail I left. So in my case at least they did make an effort to remediate the problems. Be aware that I think that they are highly incompetent and it is aggravating to deal with them. After waiting 2 weeks for my shipment, they just cancelled it without my permission, claiming backlog, then sent a partial shipment. All being said, I will never order from them again. Whether they are intentionally scamming or just that horribly incompetent, I don't know.

I made a purchase on April 3 and got the same message as most of you did on April 7. They don't seem fake more like they been screwed by their bank, they did reply back every time i had a question about the situation. I'll post what they told me. 0.jpg 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg

I call Bullscat on that idea...

Their merchant account doesn't earn the bank fees unless they are conducting transactions. If they were not pulling crap, no way the bank would cut them off. Bank wants their 2-3 percent.

I'll bet you they cut them off for chargebacks because of crappy business practices and the bank is trying to clawback some cash and put these guys on hold.

Same thing here, I lost with these criminals $100, after one week from purchase I had to write asking what's going on and then replied as they did to Les_garten. Purchase was made on March 29 and after asking several times to refund my money they just kept answering the same story and evading my questions. And for those who still have faith that these are not criminals I have a question for you, if they have been screwed by their bank and cannot fulfill the purchases, why is the webpage on-line and taking orders?. (just checked now to be sure). By the way, a lot of scammers usually refund little amounts of money to several people to gain confidence and can continue screwing others, so please be aware of this, because they still have a 75% rating as a legit merchant, and thanks to that info on the web they could put their dirty hands on my hard earned money.

Well, if you paid my credit card and you haven't received your purchase, I'd issue a chargeback...

We had an issue when we closed our eBay store where paypal started holding all funds for I think it was 20 days or something like that. They still hold 20% for 90 days. Lucky we can handle it and its not our only cc processing company.

So that is the end of the problem?, wow why I did not think about it?, please let me be more specific, these people that CAN NOT SELL ANYTHING until they "resolve" their issue are still up and running taking orders that they can not fulfill, and are not reversing transactions and/or giving back customers's money. I don't understand why that does not mean nothing to you. It is very clear for anyone that this kind of behavior speaks nothing good, and we are here trying to know what kind of business lcdscreenforlaptops.com is.

By the way I live in South America and have more than 20 years buying products from USA through Internet using Amazon, eBay and others without loosing money. Whenever happened any issue buying, the store reversed the money immediately. Now is the first time this happens after checking reputation on-line with an e-store that is "fine". So, what makes this scam worst is the fact that even if you try to consult reputation of a business on-line it's no warranty you will do fine. Thumbs up for e-criminals!

FYI, I already filed a charge back with my bank and because this was an international transaction they refused to process it, so I lost my money. do I blame them too? of course I do and I will move my accounts to another bank that can offer me support for this kind of risks in the future, but what it really hurts is the fact that these scammers still out there screwing people with freedom. That is why is very important to let others know and do whatever is in our hands to report these criminals. I hope you understand this.

Update: The Company name that charged my card is "CELL PHONES TEK INC.". Now, these people have a website offering cell phones of course, I wrote them twice asking what's the relationship between lcdscreenforlaptops and them and why have charged my card, and no answer was received, which lead me to understand that these are the final scammers, so if anyone else has the same issue, please write here to know if this is it, because I will do anything I can to report them, but I need to be sure.Thank you to all.

I did make an order with them and i got "a screen" but not the one that i was order, they send to me a cheaper screen and without my autorisation. It's 4 months that i tried to get from them the screen that i was ordered, but they always say to me that it's still back order and now, all my email are back to me. They always say that: Mail Delivery Subsystem Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently.

    So, DON'T TRUST THAT COMPANY.

I hope this information will help some people.
