I'm looking for a reliable multifunction printer to have during college, preferably one that is ink-efficient and under 200 USD. I'm dual-booting Vista and Kubuntu on my laptop, but I'll hopefully be using Kubuntu most of the time. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

i have an hp deskjet D1420 that i plugged into my ubuntu lappy and it worked right off the bat. it also comes with a driver cd for use with vista. i got it last year for about....$40-50 so it's definitely within your price range. the only issue is it's a color printer, not multifunction.

Dont get a cheap printer. The in will cost more than the printer does! The cheap hp all in ones are crap too. Go at least in the 150 dollar range and you will be fine.

Thanks, everyone. At the moment I'm looking at a Samsung SCX-4200.
