hi, i have 2007version logitech G5, and recently i noticed that when i scroll on the scroll wheel, it produces annoying squeaking noise. it is rather annoying as the squeakig is quite loud, like a rusty door that needed oiling. i only been using this for around a weeks or so. but i bought it last month.
is this normal? should i try to get a replacement?

I'd say that isn't normal. When I scroll extremely fast it sounds like a faint zipper, but not a rusty door... If I scroll slowly, it's near silent.

Mine has a zipper sound as well but a squeaking sound i never heard of. Try to get a replacement if you can.

is the scroll wheel durable? it seems logitech has drop their game lately
if i press the scroll wheel and scroll at the same time is that bad for the mouse? because my friend might have done that when they use my computer. -
I'd ask for a replacement perhaps. Mine just clicks when I scroll (zipping as Gotei described), no squeaking though. I've read about people who have had good customer service with Logitech, so give them a call.
