well i didnt do much research on the mouse i was going to get. i just went to futureshop and bought the one i like best, so i bought the vx revolution. it was on sale for 59$ CAD. i love the mouse, it fits in your hand perfectly and is just the right size. its a perfect size for portability and gaming. i love the scroll on it and it responds great. the usb slot at the back is amazing with the eject button. all logitech mice ive had have been amazing. the only thing i dont like is the big usb reciever. i love the nano size, but didnt like the mouse. i just feel as if i was going to break the usb off when moving it around, but i can get used to it.

so im just wondering if anyone else has this mouse and if they have any problems with it. is there a better mouse to get, as this is my first laptop mouse.

I bought this mouse about a month ago. I really like it. I think you made a good choice. Just like you I don't like the dongle on the side and it is easy to break off, while moving/using the laptop. The frictionless scroll is very nice as well. The one thing I have found is that the back and forward buttons on the mouse can sometimes not be as rsponsive as I would like, but still not a big deal. Overall the mouse is just the right size, not too big or small.

    Enjoy! :)

ok guys, i just found a problem

im on an x300 and just installed the dvd to use all the features. now, the scroll is very slow. if i set it to very high in the settings, its still very slow. it something kicks in after i restart it after a few times, but just messes up after a few minutes.

im about to uninstall the program, but i love the extra features on it, the scroll is really messing up now.

    anyone know why?

EDIT: ha i just realized that when i click exit on the program, the mouse scroll works perfectly, but all the features are gone.

Yes, the Setpoint software can be quirky from the comments I have read. I didn't have too much problems with it, but choose to uninstall it. I only use the scroll wheel and the back and forward buttons anyway(which Vista detects automatically without the Setpoint software). I don't really use the search or zoom button. So if all you use are the scroll and the back and forward buttons, you can do without Setpoint.

BTW - what version of setpoint do you have? Can you check?

Got it, so you do use the other buttons as well. Funny, I also used the zoom for volume too when I had the software installed.

What version of setpoint do you have?

Ok, thanks. I was going to advise you to download the latest version from Logitech, but looks like you have the latest one already. Then I am at a loss...

I picked up the vx nano in the middle of the summer. Fun little mouse. Nice little receiver.

Lots of reports with pulling the micro receiver out. Some said it destroyed their USB port and receiver when trying to pull it out. Did you experience this at all?

Destroyed their USB port? How so? Do you mean the top part of the receiver that you grab on to broke off? It seems to be fine for me. If it does ever break, I'll be angry, but until then, it's all good.

Yes, thats what I read in a couple of reviews, but as you know peoples experience with products can be so different. Good to hear that yours is working ok. Was just curious. I have the VX revolution and really like the mouse, except for the large dongle.
