I just got a v400(for 7 bux, yeah!) and i was wondering how to assign things to the left and right toggle on the wheel
-
-
also, it jumps to left about an inch every once in a while and when i click? could this be a driver problem?
-
Hi snowbrdkid,
Doesn't sound like it a driver problem.
It'll be easy to troubleshoot driver issues, simply uninstall the logitech drivers which came with the mouse and use Windows' default drivers.
Did you get this mouse from a store? At seven bucks...Hmm... -
i got it at staples for 7 bux through a the discount mentioned in the tech deals forum. Its origianally 50. It moved on its own with and without the logitech software. Sometimes it will move slowly on its all the way to left side of the screen from the right side!
im thinking about taking it back...even though it was seven bux, its really annoying to not have the mouse move where you want it. -
Hi snowbird,
I bought the V400 at its retail price and I can only say that it's one of my biggest regrets.
I went back to my V500 20 minutes after using it.
You can check out Logitech's forums to find out more about the V400.

Just try not to laugh when they suggest stupid things like "Use a better mousepad" when your mouse doesn't track well despite repeatedly marketing that the dual lasers work better than any previous technology. -
i took it back today....funny, the rebate i printed from the tech deal forum worked but the mail in rebate said i gave them an invalid upc, even though it didnt ask for the upc...

I'm envious that you guys have return policies where you come from.
It's a shame that such a system can't be implemented over here...the system would be abused and the shops would be losing money.
That's why we call ourselves a "developed country" over here.

Just go online to logitech's site and download the mouse utility and driver for the V400. Mine dosent jump at all, and the utility made every button on it programable. The zoom feature is really cool. I have had no problems with my V400 and I love the little thing, its also great for gaming.
-
mabe there was interferance w/ it or something...? cuz it happened more than once a minute
super annoying -
i posted a reply yesterday and looks like it was deleted or something, anyhow
I got the same mouse for my roomate last week and it's awsome. Make sure the one you have has this sticker on the package
because the first version of this mouse had alot of trackign issues and they replaced it with newer ones with the sticker and the text " optimize.tuned " on it. I have one of those optimized ones and it's great.
About the rebate problem you're having. I recieved the same e-mail saying the rebate was canceled for not including the UPC code . I called thier rebate 800 number and they said it's a problem with all logitech rebate and it's thier computer mistake cancelling rebates and they promised to fix it; few hours later I recieved an e-mail stating that I should recieve the rebate in few weeks. -
Yeah mines the optimized one too and it works great. You probably just got one of the bad ones snowbrdkid.
-
dang i wish i would have known...i really liked that mouse, it just jumped alot...owell
-
Hi guys,
I went to the annual computer expo in Singapore today and went to Logitech's booth.
They had the audecity to sell the V450 WITHOUT THE OPTIMISED STICKER.
I have totally condemned this brand locally. I have been a burnt user...and I have reported it to them. Instead of taking action, they chose to continue selling this terrible product on the streets.
