I am looking to get a cheap wireless mouse - meaning no more than $30 for my netbook. Ideally I would like to have at least a back button. looking at the stores i have seen the logitech vx220 for 19.99 ( know this has no back button) but it appears to be very popular. I also saw at costco, the logitech vx revolution for 29.99 ( if it is the same mouse amazon has it for 48) this does have the back button and is larger than the vx220 but never heard of it before so have no idea of it is any good . amazon does have good reviews of it.

any suggestions as to what to get in my price range? I must be able to see the mouse first though I am willing to buy online for a cheaper price.

bluetooth is not needed and batteries/charge must last a long time

I believe the VX 220 has been (and is) in my family :D
The VX 220 is a nice little mouse - the battery last quite long and it just used on AA battery - so that's no a bad choice, can't comment on the other.
(I used to have one, then went bluetooth and gave mine to my grandfather, my mother has one also)

The idea of a forum is to hear opinions fom different people - and sometimes your "close thread" is really annoying.
Your word isn't the decision and the choice.

Especially when it comes to things like accessories - if you think a thread should be closed, contact a moderator.
Of course you can ask to have a thread closedany time if you started it.
    Thanks.

    Hey!

How about the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 $21.78 @ amazon.com Has a *backbutton*.

I would prolly' use this with my Netbook!

    Tech Details:
    * Comfort - Designed by ergonomic experts for comfort in either hand.
    * Snap-in Receiver - Use the snap-in receiver to turn off the mouse and extend battery life.
    * 4 Buttons - Use the Back button to easily navigate folders or Web pages, and press the scroll wheel for AutoScroll.
    * Battery Status Indicator - Light indicates when your battery is running low.
    * High Definition Optical Technology - More responsive, more precise, smoother tracking.

The VX Revolution has a very good reputation and is very nice to use as long as you're right handed. Whether you think it's worth the extra money is up to you. The others are good mice too.

I love my mobile mouse 6000. Pretty much the same as the 3000 but it has a nano receiver. I use it at school and my wired steelseries Ikari at home.

I think this post was made long long ago but just to share what I experienced with wireless mouse.

I bought around 4 years ago logitech EX100 keyboard with wireless optical mouse. I got annoyed with it over time because I need to replace batteries (sometimes at the middle of a game - I always got owned when this happens and it pissed me) every now and then.

I got fed up with it and switch to regular mouse, now I bought a G5 laser mouse. It's perfect, easy to grip, multi-function and right weight. There are other options.
I'm not discouraging you from buying, just suggesting what I experienced before. :)
